That releases children from various kinds of vulnerabilities and enable them to enjoy childhood with a loving family in which they are respected, cherished and their safety, well being, peace and dignity are made paramount. Child Protection Service is a total package that helps children to be free from the shackles of spiritual, emotional, intellectual, economic, social and physical poverty and grow to become confident, competent, caring, responsible and purpose-driven fulfilled adults.

Street Children Programming; Our biggest passion is to reduce the number of children living and surviving on the streets of our nation.This in turn will decrease the level of menace and juvenile crimes.

This aspect of our programming is about taking the transformation and reformation program to the children on the street also known as “INNER CITY OUTREACH.’’ Currently have a safe space on the street where we meet with street children we call world changers, we meet with them twice weekly on the 5th day of the week (Thursday) by 7:30pm and on the 1st day of the week (Sunday) by 8:30am. So far we are working with 30 street children weekly. Though new ones do come but we can boldly say we have 30 who are ready to be taken into the transit shelter.

The Dreams Transit Shelter was opened in 2011 through the Street Children Programme as part of our strategy to reduce the number of children living on the streets (homeless and abandoned children) and mitigate the level of menace and juvenile crimes in Benin City.
The programme being strategically used to educate and train the next generation, the children were actively engaged in series of educational activities to help bridge the the gaps that had existed during their stay in the street.
Their academics was most affected as to could not read and write properly. They had serious issues solving simple arithmetics, pronouncing words, and sentence formation. Home lessons were thus put in place most especially in Mathematics and English Language.
Life Skill Coaching and Civic Education was taught to them to help improve their negotiation and communication skills; and increase their love for the society thus taking up responsibilities respectively. This together with counselling helped reduce aggressive violent attitude to people and helped increase their sense of logical reasoning.
In enhancing their lifestyle, and assisting loving and giving hope to the sick, the children had periodic medical checks where they were also given medical counseling as well. Some of the children at some point had malaria fever which was treated. Soars and Injuries were also treated too. There was a constant health education session most especially on personal hygiene and general cleanliness. They were taught how to brush their teeth, bath properly, wash and iron their clothes regularly, sweep and clean the house daily and as well keep their bodies safe from injuries by not indulging in violent activities.
The rigorous process included tracing of the children’s families, reintegration between both parties, and reintegrating the children back into the society as difference makers, agents of national development and catalyst for transformation

We have adopted rural communities where we carried out quarterly community developmental activities with, we have carried out an activity in the communities we had focused group discussions (FGD) with the Men, Women, Youth and Children, these was done to know and access the kind of developmental programs carried out in the communities, we also sensitized them on child protection and safeguarding, how to build a child and do parenting. We also provide service to community of flood victims.

This is creating awareness in rural and urban communities on issues on child protection and women empowerment using International mark days. Our “Stand Up for Vulnerable Children” event is aim at creating awareness on the need for all stakeholders in Nigeria to collaborate to ensure the vulnerable children and Women are empowered. We carried out house to house (H2H) public sensitization at communities. Our road walk is also aim at drawing the attention of all stake holders on harmful practices that affect children.
